Icelandic Folk Song Course
Are you interested in singing traditional Icelandic songs in a social environment ?
A free community singing project exploring Icelandic folk songs, language, culture, and connection
When: May 26th – June 11th / Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 pm to 9 pm
Where: Hafnar.haus (in Hafnarhúsið), Tryggvagata 17, 101 Reykjavík
For whom: Icelandic learners and fluent Icelandic speakers
For people learning Icelandic who want to:
– practice speaking and pronunciation in a relaxed environment
– build confidence using Icelandic socially
– connect with Icelandic culture through music
Recommended for people who have completed at least one Icelandic course or have lived in Iceland for one year or more
For Icelandic speakers interested in:
– learning traditional Icelandic folk songs
– sharing language and culture through community
– meeting people from diverse backgrounds
No previous singing experience required.
