Flying
The airport in Reykjavík is the main hub for domestic flights in Iceland. There are scheduled flights form there to eleven destinations in Iceland and some in Greenland as well.
Many companies are flying international flights to and from Iceland.
Domestic flights
Icelandair operates flights from Reykjavík to Ísafjörður, Akureyri, Egilsstaðir and Vestmannaeyjar. Icelandair also operates flights to a couple of destinations in Greenland.
Eagle air operates flights from Reykjavík to Hornafjörður and Húsavík.
Norlandair operates flights from Reykjavík to Bíldudalur and Gjögur and from Akureyri to Grímsey, Vopnafjörður and Þórshöfn. Norlandair also serves destinations in Greenland.

Loftbrú - Discount scheme
Loftbrú is a discount scheme for all residents who are legally domiciled at a long distance from the capital and on islands. Its purpose is to improve rural area residents’ access to the centralised services of the capital region. The Loftbrú discount scheme provides a 40% discount on the total fare of all domestic routes to and from the capital area. Each individual is entitled to lower fares on up to three round trips to and from Reykjavík per year (six flights).

International flights
Icelandair and Play are the two airlines currently headquartered in Iceland. Many other airlines fly to Iceland, you will find information on those on the ISAVIA website.
