A short stay in Iceland

Iceland is part of Schengen. All persons not holding valid Schengen visa in their travel document must apply for a visa at the applicable embassy/consulate before traveling to the Schengen area.

Iceland joined the Schengen states on March 25, 2001. All persons that do not hold a valid Schengen visa in their travel document must apply for a visa at the applicable embassy/consulate before travelling to the Schengen area.

Embassies/consulates representing Iceland handle visa applications for visitors to Iceland. You can read more about this here.
